Mental Health: What Are Your Struggles?

Mental Health….

What do you struggle with most? Leave a comment and let me know.

For me, it changes on a day-to-day basis.

Somedays its debilitating anxiety when I can’t seem to breathe.

Some days it’s feeling like I’m not good enough to be an entrepreneur.

Somedays its mom guilt and feeling like I’m not a good enough mom.

Some days it’s my OCD consuming my thoughts, mind, and actions.

Some days it’s my Tourettes syndrome controlling my body and giving me tons of pain.

Some days it’s worrying about the size of my body.

But somedays?

I feel weightless, calm, peaceful, happy, and totally fulfilled.

Those days are more common now than ever before- my peaceful and happy days.

And here’s why…

Over the past 3 years, I’ve dove headfirst into personal development. When a friend gave me a book called “The Untethered Soul” in it stated, “you are not your thoughts, you are the one who hears your thoughts.” That blew my mind.

I thought to my self: So, if I am NOT my thoughts, that means that I can change my thoughts- or at least choose not to believe the negative thoughts!

That changed everything for me.

Now? My entire mindset has changed.

It hasn’t been easy!
I’ve invested a ton of time and money into seminars, books, courses, coaching programs, blogs, and podcasts.

It is also something I work on every single day. Asking myself different questions, having more compassion for myself, changing the meaning of events that have happened in my past and being more aware of what meaning I place on things in my future.

Gratitude has made a significant difference in my life too!

You cannot be grateful and angry/depressed/sad at the same time. When you feel grateful, you feel that- grateful.

I’ve also trained my mind to look for the bright side of everything. Again, it’s not easy, but neither is battling with mental health and so I will choose the bright side any day!

So I ask you again, what do you struggle with most when it comes to mental health?

-Is it anxiety?

-Depression?

-Your negative thoughts?

-Inability to see the bright side of things?

-Loneliness?

-Feeling like you have no vision?

-Feeling unworthy?

-Living in constant fear, stress, and overwhelm?

-Battling with OCD, an eating disorder, Tourettes, or another mental illness?

Whatever it is, I hear you, I see you, I feel your struggles, and I am sending you love. You, my friend, are not alone and I am here to talk <3 Come hang out with me on Instagram and lets chat @casshenrycoaching. See you soon!

Xox,

PS, Thomas Rhett just wrote a new song called “Be A Light”. Give it a listen. It’s so beautiful and it’s a great reminder that you were born to shine and when life gets tough, find a way to be a light in order to find your way through the darkness. Tough times don’t last, tough people do!
